22. How far is it from Hotel Uhland to Marienplatz and Town Hall (with Glockenspiel Performance daily at 11:00,12:00,17:00 and 21:00.)?

Answer:
A safe 20 minutes walk to Marienplatz (2 kilometers = 1,25 miles). From us you pass Georg-Hirth-Platz and go along Pettenkoferstrasse to Sendlinger Tor. Here starts the old town with shopping street "Sendlinger Strasse" to Marienplatz..
You also could ride bus # 58 for two stops to Goetheplatz and change to the underground U3 or U6 for two more stops to Marienplatz. The tariff is Kurzstrecke (short trip).

If you like to go by bus # 58 the other direction, to the end stop "Hauptbahnhof" (main railroad station) and take any S-Bahn via Karlplatz-Stachus to Marienplatz,  it is not a short trip tariff anymore.

Marienplatz is the middle of city of Munich. Around there you will find the famous beer hall Hofbräuhaus and many other nice restaurants, Theatinerstrasse, Briennerstrasse, Maximilianstrasse, Promenadeplatz with the American Express office, our big pedestrian shopping area, Viktualienmarkt and the opera house (Nationaltheater). It is about a one kilometer walk from Marienplatz to Deutsches Museum (or one more S-Bahn stop to Isartor and from there a 300 meters walk).
